Mumbai Attractions Mumbai, being the financial capital of India, is the city of golden dreams. On the western coastal region, Mumbai came into existence, when the seven islands were locked together. Mumbai's stock exchange is the primary stock exchange of the country. Most of the huge business houses have their headquarters in Mumbai. This city is also renowned for the arts and the entertainment industry. This is the only city in India, which never sleeps.

There are many popular tourist attractions in Mumbai, such as historical monuments, beautiful beaches and many places of worship worth visiting. It
represents a mix traditional Maharashtrian culture and ultra modern values of the Western world.

Juhu  Beach, is one of the most popular fizzing beach on the shores of Arabian Sea is the place where one can find the bungalows of Bollywood stars. It is spread in about 5 kilometers area; located 18-km north of the city centre, is always crowded on weekends. One can find different activities on the beach, such as food stalls, performers and camel and pony rides.

Gateway of India, is one of the most famous monuments in India. Located in the South Mumbai on the sides of the sea, it was built to commemorate the arrival of King George V and Queen Mary for the Delhi Durbar of 1911. This is the first spot visited by any tourist who comes to Mumbai.

Sanjay Gandhi National Park, in Borivali, the suburb part of Mumbai, is a reserve forest possessing a diverse kind of flora and fauna. Spread on an area of 104 sq kms, is visited by the highest number of visitors in Asia with almost 2 million tourists per year.

Marine Drive, built in 1920s, is the shoreline of the Arabian Sea, which runs from Nariman Point to the foot of Malabar Hill. It is one of the favorite place of Mumbaites , where they love to freak for watching the sunset, and escape from the steamy hurried and busied life. Stalls selling Bhelpuri, Kulfi and Paan make the place zesty.

These were few more prominent Mumbai tourist attractions, such as Banganga Tank, Dhobi Ghat, Jain Temple, Mani Bhavan Gandhi Museum,  Chowpatty Beach, Prince of Wales Museum, Victoria Terminus (Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus), and many others.
